OUR MOST ASKED QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.
-
HOCATT. Thirty minutes, and most people feel a significant difference after one session. If you want the fuller answer: book both. Dermashape opens the pathways. HOCATT helps carry it out — Dermashape first, then HOCATT. That pairing is what the memberships are.
-
Yes, for both. For Dermashape you’re fully draped on a treatment table — only the area being worked on is uncovered at a time. For HOCATT you’re wrapped in a towel inside the pod. Nobody is ever more exposed than the work requires.
-
Hydrate well to enhance lymphatic flow, and avoid eating heavy meals right before your appointment. If you’d like to enhance detoxification, you could also take a binder like Activated Charcoal or Citrus Pectin – we will eventually carry these at Salt + Light.
-
No, and rarely. It's warm and firm but shouldn't hurt — say the word and it changes that second. Marks only happen if you ask us to break up a specific area of tension, and we'll tell you before we do it, not after.
-
Your head stays outside it the entire time, breathing normal room air, so it never feels closed-in. Warm steam, ozone, carbonic acid, far infrared, plus PEMF, microcurrent frequencies, photon light and essential oils. The pod clears itself completely before the door opens.
-
Listen to your body. Some clients come weekly, others monthly, and both feel a real difference.
-
Genuinely, yes. One session will make the rest of your trip more comfortable. No package required.
-
Talk to us first if you have an electrical implant, have had an organ transplant, have hemolytic anemia, are breastfeeding, or are undergoing cancer treatment. And if you've had liposuction, implants, a fat transfer, or any tissue procedure, you'll need to wait a full six weeks before Dermashape — no exceptions (see the note on the services above).
If you have an electrical implant, you can still do HOCATT — we simply run your session without the PEMF and frequency modalities. Everything else stays. Call or text 850.461.9389 and we'll work it out.
-
Memberships run monthly with a four-month minimum — they're for people building a real rhythm. Unused sessions roll over for one extra month, so a busy stretch doesn't cost you anything.
Packages are a one-time purchase with no commitment and no recurring billing. If you're not ready to commit to four months, take a package or a single session.

The DermaShape technique is more advanced, more targeted, and more effective than manual lymphatic techniques alone – and works much deeper within the tissues. Techniques like dry brushing, gua sha, and vibration plates are great to do in between sessions, but they do not reach deeper lymphatic pathways or move fluid out of congested areas the way the DermaShape can. Regular DermaShape treatments provide faster results, reduced systemic inflammation, improved digestion and detoxification, and long-lasting improvements you can see AND feel.
-
Water is essential for moving lymph. Aim for at least 1-2 large bottles of water after your session. Coconut water is also an incredible option for getting electrolytes without the excess sodium. Aim to eat clean, whole foods to support detox pathways. Expect more frequent urination – this is your body flushing out toxins. Allow your body to reset. Some clients feel energized; others feel calm and sleepy. Both responses are normal and simply reflect your nervous system shifting into healing mode.
-
Lighter. Clearer-headed. Mellow but with more energy than you walked in with — a strange combination that makes sense once you've felt it. Many people notice joints and long-standing sore spots letting go, and sleep unusually well that night. Drink water, move gently, and take your minerals if you use them.
-
Yes. A DermaShape session is not just a “spa treatment” – it is a performance, recovery, and stress-regulating treatment designed to work deeply with the body’s lymphatic system, fascia, and muscular pathways – making it extremely effective for men. You will feel lighter and more mobile almost immediately!
-
We are able to see clients ages 16-17 with parental consent. This method is gentle, non-invasive, and supportive of lymphatic health and overall wellness at any age – we simply require appropriate consent for minors.
-
Absolutely. Athletes often see some of the best results. This method supports faster muscle recovery, increased circulation, improved muscle definition, and enhanced performance. Many athletes report feeling decreased joint inflammation and muscle soreness.
-
Yes – it’s excellent once you are medically cleared and past the acute healing phase. It helps with swelling, fluid retention, and lymphatic congestion that occurs following surgery.
-
Yes – many clients feel results immediately. We often get feedback of clients seeing less puffiness, improved definition, reduced tension, and feeling lighter and more energized. Results continue to amplify over 24-48 hours.

Generally 9 to 5, most days. But we're appointment-only, which means we can usually work around you — if you need something earlier or later, just ask.
